Miami Ad School
A CPOB PARTNER
Study and intern in up to five cities around the world!
- Miami Ad School graduates, with their global perspectives, have a giant leg up in today’s advertising world.
Experience with clients from different cultures and different languages is a great career advantage. It will help you get a better job when you start and move you ahead faster from “promising creative” to Creative Director or from young planner to “Senior Planner”.
So with Miami Ad School you have a terrific choice: start and complete your entire education in one of our six full-time schools in the USA, Europe or South America.
Or start in one full-time school, stay for one year getting a strong foundation and then study and intern in up to four other cities around the world in the USA, Europe, South America or Asia. (Choose from from the cities in the map above.) In each city your instructors are working industry professionals who teach you what you need to be successful in the business.
Right now many of the locations say “info coming soon” but we’re working on our site as fast as we can to change that! Soon you’ll be able to hear about all the amazing experiences our students have interning at CP+B, Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, Weiden & Kennedy, Jung von Matt, Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO and many, many other agencies. - The school finds hundreds of internships a year for our students. And these aren’t coffee fetching internships. Students regularly concept and produce print ads, TV commercials, posters and web sites. Pretty cool to have “produced work” in your portfolio before you even graduate!
In some cities agencies host the school inside their agency. This unique educational concept is called “Greenhouse”. Students have the opportunity to go to school all day, everyday, inside an agency. Your teachers are creative directors from that agency and other agencies in the city. Who better to learn from than the industry’s leading professionals. Miami Ad School has Greenhouses in Saatchi & Saatchi in London, CP+B in Boulder, Lowe in New York, Ogilvy in Paris, and Fallon in Minneapolis.
By the time you graduate you’ll have a portfolio filled with amazing work and a Facebook page full of industry contacts you’ve made while studying in the world’s advertising capitals. Both of these are essential when you begin your job search.
- Need a little help landing that first job? The school can help. We host several Portfolio Reviews a year where industry professionals come to interview our newest art directors, copywriters and designers. The US based reviews take place in New York, San Francisco and Miami. We usually have two to three times more companies attending than we have graduates. We also have reviews in Hamburg and Madrid.
In addition we receive hundreds of job leads a year which we email to our graduates. Agencies can also contact a graduate directly by using “The Door”, Miami Ad School’s graduate portfolio site.
Keep in mind that you are also part of a giant network of Miami Ad School graduates all over the world who are mid-level to senior level executives in all the leading agencies. That’s a remarkable resource for you in your career.
Pick a city and an agency someplace on the globe; there is most likely one of our graduates working there. Give him or her a call and just say you’re a Miami Ad School graduate; you’ll have a foot in the door and your portfolio as well.
